Welcome to the Heel 2 Heal Grand Canyon virtual challenge!

In this virtual challenge, you can convert any intentional exercise using our simple chart below! Run, walk, bike, swim, yoga, meditate, circuit training anywhere you want – EVERY activity COUNTS. Then log your activity and watch as you progress through the Grand Canyon and on the leaderboards.

All proceeds from our challenge will support Healing Touch research, service and education.


Simple Exercise Conversion

1. Running / Walking -- enter actual mileage covered

2. Strenuous Exercise, e.g. Cycling / Swimming / Hill walking / Circuit Training, etc. -- Enter 6 miles per hour (E.g. 15 minutes cycling = 1.5 miles “walked”)

3. Lighter Exercise, e.g. Yoga / Gym / Weights, etc. -- Enter 4 miles per hour (e.g. 30 minutes weights = 2 miles “walked”)

4. Meditation -- 30 minute meditation = 2 miles

We've got racers all over the globe! To keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:
  1. We rely on the honor system... you don't have to use a device to prove your miles -- a good map suffices.
  2. No step counting, please use intentional miles
  3. Only running miles please! (NOTE: miles on a racer's personal log are for all races they are in, over all sports)
  4. Please attribute your mileage to the appropriate day -- don't combine mileage from multiple days.
  5. Please only backdate mileage for a race up to two weeks in the past.
  6. Miles submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
